It began with a single house on the Alentejo coast — and a belief that good buildings are mostly made of patience.
Founded by Marta Sóbria and Jonas Nørd after a decade in practices across Copenhagen and Porto, the studio has grown slowly and on purpose. We take on few projects at a time and see each one through, from the first site visit to the day the keys are handed over.
Our work sits between architecture and craft. We model by hand, test materials in the open air and spend long afternoons on site — because the details that matter most rarely appear on a drawing.

Light before form
We begin every project by studying how the sun moves across the site. Rooms are shaped around light — never the other way round.

Honest materials
Stone, lime, timber and clay — chosen for how they feel underfoot and how beautifully they weather over the years.

Built to age
We design for the next hundred years, not the next magazine cover. Good buildings should grow kinder with time.
